Candidates & Organizations
Who we support
Our investment strategy team identifies and researches candidates and voter engagement organizations that align with ITE's mission for recommendation to the Steering Committee.
Once each candidate or organization is approved for support, events are scheduled. Each ITE member is invited to select which of those candidates or voter engagement groups she would like to invest in. Our five-pronged investment strategy is to invest in selected:
- U.S. Senate candidatees who are: vulnerable incumbents; running for open, winnable seats; or in vulnerable GOP held seats;
- U.S. House candidates who are: vulnerable incumbents; in contested races, primarily in Illinois and in flippable seats;
- State-level candidates -- including governors, state Supreme Court judges, and state attorneys general -- strategically selected to help protect democracy;
- Organizations in key states that engage voters and protect democrachy;
- New media organizations that engage voters and protect democracy.
